You may order repeat prescriptions in the usual way - by dropping your repeat prescription slip into the box in the waiting room near reception, via Patient Online Services or by sending it in to us via ordinary mail.
In addition to Patient Online Services, we also offer online repeat prescription ordering via the link at the top of this page. You need to enter the details of the items that you are requesting, enter details to identify yourself, and enter your email address if you wish to receive an email confirming the details of your request.If you need to order more items than there are lines available, simply return to the page and enter the additional items as a new order.

The details of your request will be sent to the surgery by email. The receptionist will prepare your prescription for the doctor to check and sign. You need to allow two full working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays).
If you would prefer to have your prescription posted to your home address you may leave with the receptionist, in advance, a supply of Stamped Addressed Envelopes and select the option below to indicate that you would like the prescription to be posted using one of these envelopes. Please allow time for delays in the post. If you select that option but do not have any SAE's left at reception then the prescription will be left for you to collect in the usual way.
Chemist Collection Service
Alternatively you can elect for one of the following chemists to collect your prescription from the Surgery:-
Arlington Road Pharmacy, Asda, Boots Arndale, Boots Grove Road, Boots Langney, Boots Pevensey Bay, Boots Sovereign Harbour, Boots Wartling Road, Chemistree, Day Lewis Furness Road, Day Lewis - Freshwater Square (formerly Peels), Grand, Kamsons Bolton Road (formerly Skinners), Kamsons Green Street, Kamsons Meads, Kamsons Milfoil Drive, Kamsons Stone Cross, Kamsons The Triangle (Willingdon), Kamsons Victoria Drive (formerly Otters), Lloyds Park Practice, Lloyds Polegate, Newmans, Osborn Pharmacy (formerly Cavendish) Pharmacy Plus, Proctors Polegate, Sainsburys (Lloyds), Seaforth Hailsham & Westham, Tesco.
Electronic Prescription Service
From April 2015 we have been participating in the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). You can nominate any pharmacy (either via that pharmacy or by informing us) and we will send your prescription directly via a secure electronic service.
As soon as your doctor has electronically signed your prescription it will be with your nominated pharmacy. Please note you will still have to wait for the pharmacy to prepare the prescription when you arrive.
Requesting prescriptions early due to holiday
If you are requesting a prescription early due to holiday, please can you provide us with your date of departure, how long you are away for and whether you will be in the UK or abroad as this will enable us to process your prescription appropriately.
Giving consent for others to collect your prescription from the Surgery on your behalf
Guidelines have been issued suggesting that patients should give their consent for third parties to collect their prescription. As many of you will know, we never hand out prescriptions without asking the collector to first confirm the patient's address, and have always felt that this should suffice.
We are sure you will agree that to obtain consent from over 11,700 patients, record this consent and have a way of knowing exactly who is collecting (many people will use more than one person to collect their prescription for them) and then having to ask for identification at reception for every prescription we hand out (hundreds per day) would be a very time consuming for both patients and staff at what is already a very busy reception desk.
As many patients are happy for other members of their family or friends to collect for them, we felt the best approach would be to work on the basis of dissent rather than consent. In other words, if you have a reason why you would not want anybody else to collect your prescription, or you just have one other named person who you would consent to collecting for you, then please complete one of our Prescription Third Party Dissent forms. If you opt for nobody else to collect your prescription other than yourself, we will mark this on your records and any prescription that we print for you will be marked in the top left hand corner with 'ONLY PATIENT TO COLLECT'. We are sure you will appreciate that not all of our receptionists will know every patient by name. You will therefore need to produce photographic ID every time you collect your prescription, unless of course the receptionist on duty knows who you are.
We hope that you will agree this is the most practical approach, given that many people are happy with our current system and would not want the hassle of having to produce ID when collecting a prescription. However, there are people who have good reasons why they would not want their prescription given to a third party and we feel that this gives such people the opportunity to register their dissent.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account. Please note if you are requesting medication that does not appear on your prescription re-order form, your request may take longer to process.
